Springwater

  
Springwater was found in 1931 in Saskatchewan, Canada.  It is classified as a Pallasite with a total recovered weight of 67.6kg.   Three masses of 38.5kg, 18.6kg, and 10.4kg were found near Springwater, 100 miles west of Saskatoon.

The specimen shown below is wedge-shaped weighing 288 grams.  There are two polished faces and the reverse is the external surface of the meteorite.  The larger of the two cut faces measures 90mm by 58mm and the smaller face measures 87mm by 35mm.  The depth of the wedge from the angle where the cut faces meet to the natural surface back is 34mm.
